Just before I get into the details... add this to your list now, as this has just moved up to the top of my list for my new number 1 roast! Today's Menu: Starters: Prawn Cocktail Chicken Goujons Tomato & Basil Soup Creamy Garlic Mushrooms Homemade Pate with Apple & Ale Chutney Mains: Traditional Sunday Roast Dinner Choice of Chicken, Beef or Lamb (We opted for all 3) Roast Topside of Beef Lamb Shank off the bone & seasoned with Rosemary Chicken Breast, Herb & Onion Stuffing All served with real gravy, Yorkshire pudding, roasted parsnips, caramelized roasties, fresh vegetables & potatoes Desserts: Chocolates Brownie Berry Cheesecake Sticky Toffee Pudding Review: If this was a game of poker I think it's clear I've already revealed my hand on this one! All of our starters were lovely but let me get straight to the point on this one and talk about what may be one of the best roast dinners I've ever had! Now I know that is a big statement but trust me when I say I've tried probably more than the average person at this point, and this is hands down one of my favorites! The Chicken was cooked perfectly and really juicy, the Beef was really tender and in no way dry. And the lamb just melted in your mouth! Can't say I've had a lamb roast before but it may be my fave! The roasties were nice and fluffy and caramelized at the same time, roasted parsnips were lovely. The giant Yorkshire pudding was perfect and that gravy was out of this world good. Proper homemade gravy, very rich, full of meat bits and quite simply delicious Guys add this to your list ASAP! You can thank me later on this one! ”

“ Walked from Penarth on the Coastal Path and stopped for refreshments. It was 3pm and they were closing but the two , very helpful young ladies that were there arranged a baguette for us and some drinks. We sat on the rooftop area , in the warm sunshine overlooking the sea and the island. Couldn't ask for more. The welcome we had was great and the food tasty. The perfect " Seashore " spot. Highly recommend, parking available on their adjacent caravan park. ”
